marco F Charming and fun…great ensemble cast…tugs at the emotions at the end Rated 4.5/5 Stars • Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 04/14/24 Full Review Jester T Great baseball movie. I wasn't expecting much but was very pleased with it Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/18/24 Full Review Aussie S This is one of my favourite films of all time. I watch it every time it's on TV. Good cast and Tom Hanks is terrific as the has been coach. This film led me to investigate the real story of the women's baseball league. Rated 5/5 Stars • Rated 5 out of 5 stars 12/18/23 Full Review Alec B Marshall lays the sappiness a bit thick (always her biggest problem) and I'm not sure the scenes set in "modern day" that open and close the film are even necessary, but the ensemble is so fantastic and the movie is so entertaining and funny that I don't really care. Rated 4/5 Stars • Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/14/23 Full Review CK Movie Reviews 20 years later, and this film still hold up as one of the best baseball films of all time. Rated 4/5 Stars • Rated 4 out of 5 stars 09/27/23 Full Review Chris N Fun, heartwarming, and iconic American sports film. You can tell the actors had a blast making it. Tom Hanks puts in one of his most entertaining performances as manager Jimmy Dugan. It doesn't stop there with incredibly entertaining performances by Madonna and Rosie O'Donell. Geena Davis (Dottie) and Lori Petty (Kit) are at the core of the film and move everything forward, and you can't help falling in love with them. There are moments of fall out of your chair laughter, moments of gut wrenching drama and despair - tying together one of the more unique and incredible stories from WWII American history. It feels a little overlong and suffers a bit from structure but this should not be missed and revisited often. You'll recite iconic lines for years to come.Setting, Conflict, Character, Dialogue, Theme, Plot, and Climax: B+Runtime: 2:08Audience Engagement (do you feel runtime): NoTop Genres: Comedy, Drama, Sport (Fiction)Genre(s) rating Comedy - 8 Drama - 8 Sport - 8Genre Average Score: 8 Directing: 7 Cinematography/lighting: 7 Story/Narrative: 10 Structure: 7 Dialogue: 9 Score(music): 9 Editing: 8 Acting: 9 Characterization: 10 Mise en Scène/Visual Design: 8 Visual Effects: 8 Sound Design: 8 Costumes/Makeup: 9 Lasting Impact: 8 Originality: 8Overall: 8.31 (4.2 RT) Rated 4/5 Stars • Rated 4 out of 5 stars 08/06/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

A League of Their Own | Rotten Tomatoes (1) Victoria Luxford BBC.com A fictional take on a real story, but full of heart and lovely moments Rated: 4/5 Jul 14, 2023 Full Review A League of Their Own | Rotten Tomatoes (2) Richard Roeper Chicago Sun-Times A warmhearted comedy and a classic baseball movie. Jul 9, 2022 Full Review A League of Their Own | Rotten Tomatoes (3) Peter Bradshaw Guardian It’s a great piece of Hollywood confectionery, and you might well find yourself choking up a little at the end. Rated: 5/5 Mar 9, 2022 Full Review A League of Their Own | Rotten Tomatoes (4) Carey-Ann Pawsey Orca Sound Though Penny Marshall did take a risk making this film about women’s professional baseball she did not, however, take any risks when telling the story. It is your typical sports film with some conflict and then heroism. Rated: 3.5/5 Sep 17, 2022 Full Review A League of Their Own | Rotten Tomatoes (5) Liz Galst Gay Community News (Boston) Very much a film about sisterhood and resistance and being the best you can be. Aug 31, 2022 Full Review A League of Their Own | Rotten Tomatoes (6) Cory Woodroof 615 Film Obviously a good movie, crowd-pleasing and incredibly thoughtful. We need more movies where Tom Hanks is just a wily supporting character spittin’ tobacco and yelling at people like a fool. Jul 17, 2022 Full Review Read all reviews
